Trustees approve summer camp, multiple field trips and accept staff resignation; policies proceed to second reading

Programs and trips: Trustees approved the district’s summer camp program (June 23–August 22, 2025; registration begins May 1 at Madison Elementary) and multiple student field trips: Bedford first grade to the Creature Conservancy (April 23, 2025); Part D second grade to Imagination Station in Toledo (May 14, 2025); Annapolis High School senior class trip to TreeRunner Adventure Park in West Bloomfield (May 15, 2025); and Bedford fourth grade to the Toledo Mud Hens game (May 7, 2025). The board noted that costs will be covered by families and building activity funds unless otherwise stated (the Mud Hens trip is funded by a Greater Toledo Community Foundation grant). Trustees also highlighted planned website autofill to ease summer camp registration.
Policy process: The board approved the first reading of proposed, revised and reissued bylaws and policies (bylaw numbers and sections were read from the packet). Trustees requested corrections to definitions and capitalization for listed apps (TikTok, Discord, FaceTime) and discussed how vacancy notices might reach older residents. The policy work will continue in committee; these items proceed to a later board action (second reading/approval).
Votes: All motions described above were moved and carried by roll call with the trustees present recorded as voting yes (Trustees Sterling, Stavanovic, Wall, Winless, Anderson).
