Sequim proclaims July 1 Sequim City Band Day to mark 35th anniversary

Blakesley said the band served more than 100 musicians over the past year, supports mentorship and school partnerships, helped create the James Center for the Performing Arts, and provides free public concerts.
Councilors offered brief personal remarks praising the band’s outreach to youth and its role in the community. The proclamation will be used in celebratory programming and the council encouraged residents to join in recognizing the band.
