The East China School District Board approved routine business items, adopted a summer tax collection resolution and heard reports from multiple district departments and an academic spotlight from Pine River Elementary.
The consent agenda — which included approval of the Nov. 17, 2025 meeting minutes, payment of bills, the financial statement and schedule of investments — was approved on a motion by Trustee Jessica Becker, seconded by Trustee Lindsay Chopp, and recorded as yea 7, nay 0. Per administration recommendation, the Board also approved a resolution for annual summer tax collection (motion by Trustee Lindsay Chopp, seconded by Trustee Shawn Treadaway; yea 7, nay 0).
During the academic spotlight, Principal Rachel Card introduced Pine River Elementary students who demonstrated reading instruction and learning pathways. Teachers Cristina Malburg, Amy Langmesser and Kerri Wahl participated in the presentation; trustees commended students’ communication skills. Department reports were provided by Personnel, Curriculum, Business Office, Operations, Technology, and Safety & Security; no board action was taken on those reports.
President Michael Westrick declared the meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
