Marine City High School presented its academic spotlight to the East China School District Board on Nov. 17, with Principal Sherri Becker introducing student members from several extracurricular groups.
Students representing the Interact Club, Student Government, National Honor Society (NHS) and Peer to Peer described their groups’ activities and roles in the school community. The presentation highlighted opportunities for student leadership and engagement; student members spoke directly about what each club does and how peers may join.
The board received the presentation as part of its agenda and did not take action on the spotlight item.
