The East China School District Board of Education voted unanimously Oct. 27 to accept the district’s fiscal year 2024–25 audit after an auditor reported no material concerns.
Curtis McBride of McBride-Manley & Company P.C. presented the audit and told the board that the district had earned “a clean, unmodified audit opinion” from the firm. After the presentation, the administration recommended acceptance of the audit.
Trustee Karen Cedar moved to accept the audit report as prepared and presented; Trustee Lindsay Chopp seconded the motion. The board approved the recommendation by a 7–0 vote.
The audit acceptance completes the board’s formal review of the 2024–25 financial statements. The district did not identify any additional required corrective actions in the meeting record. No further fiscal actions tied to the audit were recorded at the Oct. 27 meeting.
