Holman asked the court to pass a resolution authorizing the application (identified in the meeting as Resolution 2026-7). The court moved, seconded and passed the resolution and directed staff to allow the treasurer to issue checks associated with grant administration if required.
Sheriff Holman also presented a small juvenile-seized settlement for court approval during the same appearance; the settlement was approved by voice vote before the grant resolution discussion.
The court did not set any binding long-term staffing commitments beyond authorizing the application and acknowledging the likely local cost share; final hiring would depend on grant award and separate personnel decisions.
