Village approves $15,500 brick repair; sidewalk finished and Maple Street grant agreement delayed

The Three Oaks Public Service Committee approved $15,500 to repair water damage to the north exterior brick of Village Hall and received several infrastructure updates.
Flint moved and Mondello supported the motion to approve $15,500 for the brick repairs; the motion carried with all committee members voting aye. Faulkner said the sidewalk project at 104 N. Elm is complete. For a parking-lot project at 114 N. Elm, Faulkner said he, Attorney Hilmer and the Verdun attorney will meet to discuss easements and a final dollar amount; the appraised value cited was $72,000.
Andrew Rudd reported Amtrak has not yet issued the demolition permit for the bridge project and that signage related to the project is being removed. He also said the Maple Street/Alley grant has been received but that staff responsible for preparing the grant agreement are currently on furlough, delaying finalization.
