Village to weigh options for $35,000 Water Reliability Study; DWAM grant to cover part

Andrew Rudd updated the council that a contractor is scheduled to complete about a dozen DWAM grant inspections on Oct. 20, 2025. He said the Water Reliability Study would cost roughly $35,000 and that, because the DWAM Grant covers the Water System Asset Management Plan (which overlaps about 50% with the study), the grant could cover about $20,000 of the study cost. Rudd said he would present options next month for funding the remaining amount.
The council did not vote on funding at the Oct. 8 meeting; staff identified the funding gap and committed to returning with proposals. The study is positioned as part of capital planning for the water system and could affect future budgeting and grant-application decisions.
