Parks board endorses DDA-funded seasonal lighting; volunteers slated for trail maintenance and Master Plan survey circulated

Chair Ira Johnson reported an update on volunteer efforts, noting continued tracking of volunteer hours for use in future grant applications and recording of significant volunteer time spent in maintaining the Community Garden Park. He also described a planned Hoadley Trail maintenance project on Sept. 16 organized by HCRC and Horizon Bank volunteers; village maintenance staff "Nate and Clay" have cleared fallen trees from the path and removed dilapidated exercise stations.
Village Manager Dan Faulkner presented a Master Plan update survey being prepared for broad circulation and encouraged residents to complete it; he also briefed the board on sidewalk, bridge and internet installation projects underway or planned in the village. Chair Johnson noted his planned two-month absence this winter. The meeting adjourned at 8:36 p.m. after a motion by Joan Brown, supported by Marlene Kramer; the minutes record the motion as approved but do not provide tallies.
