Council approves 2026 holiday schedule and multiple community event closures

At its Aug. 13 meeting the Three Oaks Village Council approved a set of community events and the 2026 holiday schedule.
Council approved the 2026 Holiday Schedule on a motion by Jones supported by Niemzyk. They also approved a street closure for the 2026 Homecoming Parade (exact date to be determined), the Elementary School Halloween Parade on Oct. 31, 2025 (Elm Street closed 12:30–1:00 p.m.), village-wide Trick-or-Treating on Oct. 25, 2025 (4:00–6:00 p.m.), and the Halloween Spooktacular with Movies After Dark at Dewey Cannon Park on Oct. 25, 2025 (5:00–10:00 p.m.). All motions passed unanimously.
Council recorded no special conditions on the approvals during the meeting. Residents thanked the council for approving parking-lot repairs and asked procedural questions about sidewalks and code enforcement during public comment.
