Houston council swears in members and confirms leadership roles

Mayor Wingo also nominated Dawn Wingo for secretary; Councilman Mutter moved and Councilman Melvin seconded the nomination, which carried. Mayor Wingo nominated Lisa Wingo for treasurer (motioned by Councilman Melvin, seconded by Vice Mayor Gregory Gilmore) and later nominated her for tax collector (motioned by Councilman Mutter, seconded by Councilman Melvin); both nominations carried.
"It has been a pleasure working with the Council and my goal is to keep moving forward," Mayor Gregory Wingo said during council comments.
The meeting followed standard procedural motions for the agenda and adjourned at 7:28 p.m. after routine business and announcements.
