City staff presented results from the May 9 "Grow Block Walk" program on June 22 and asked council for guidance on priority neighborhoods for upcoming outreach.
Marshall Robin summarized the second block walk: teams knocked on 73 homes and made direct contact with 36 residents (about 49% contact rate), gathering concerns for police, code enforcement, water and sewer, and streets; 20 residents expressed no concerns. Staff supplied handouts with QR codes to surveys and department contact pages; six residents activated the survey though none completed it.
Robin said the city plans two more walks this year — a tentative Ward 1 event on Aug. 22 (9–11 a.m.) and a November walk for Ward 2 — and encouraged council members and department heads to participate in small teams to promote face‑to‑face dialogue. He asked council to identify underrepresented neighborhoods or other outreach strategies.
Council thanked staff for the outreach and no formal action was taken; the presentation was informational.
