Selectboard liaison Jon Morris described a request from abutters to purchase a small triangular town‑owned parcel (less than half an acre) adjacent to a schoolhouse parcel on Chadsey and Allen Road. CEO Tim Giddinge told the board the conveyance would make the nearby lot more conforming and that the town’s title histories were still being reviewed.
Planning Board members said they had no objection. Co‑Chair Orion Breen observed that acquiring the strip would reduce nonconformity for the adjoining property; Chairman Mellin moved that the Planning Board register no objection to the sale and Orion seconded. The motion passed, 4‑0.
The matter will proceed through the Selectboard, which will confirm title history and authorize any sale under town policy.
