Mr. Butler presented competitively bid items under the Oklahoma Competitive Bid Act. The board awarded a parking lot seal-coat and striping contract to OPW Commercial Services for $99,300. The board also approved concrete repairs at the high school to JEI for $127,990; administrators said the work covers the high-traffic U-drive, west drive lanes and some cafeteria-area sidewalks and will be completed before the school year starts.
A larger roof coating project — a silicone roof-coating application for Westwood and Wolf Creek elementaries — was presented with a $646,000 price tag to be paid from bond funds. The contractor was listed as Next Level Roofing; board members asked about expected durability and were told the coating is expected to last about 10–15 years with proper maintenance. Administrators noted long-term planning still includes full roof replacement in some cases but described the coating as a cost-effective short- to mid-term solution.
All presented contract awards were approved by motion and unanimous roll-call votes.
