Chair Art Laske told the Board of Finance that attorney Steve Stafstrom recommended wording changes to the draft Memorandum of Understanding related to the Board of Education facilities plan, and that because the MOU remained incomplete the board could not vote on final language.
Rather than delay planning, Art Laske asked to continue work with the superintendent. Without objection the board signaled consensus for him to review project proposals with Superintendent Jason McKinnon so that planning can proceed while the MOU is finalized. No formal vote was recorded; the board will return to the MOU for formal action once the draft is complete.
The board noted the schedule of upcoming public hearings and meetings in late March where further discussion may occur.
