The Easton Board of Finance reviewed the senior center and public-health budget lines during its March 3 meeting.
Treasurer and Finance Director Val Buckley described expected personal effects on Social Security payments when a spouse dies, noted efforts to use grants to limit direct town costs, and said she is planning for her successor. Senior Center Director Luci Bango said the center has made a new hire and recommended applying a uniform 3% increase to the budget across the three towns that share operation costs.
Pam Scott of the Aspetuck Health District was present for health-line budget questions. The board did not make final appropriations during the session and deferred any spending votes to later meetings.
