Edie Sarpa provided an administrative update on a vacancy for the Division Chief for Financial Investigations, saying an updated job description appears in the meeting packet and that staff plan to begin candidate interviews immediately with the aim of completing the process in "4 to 6 weeks." Sarpa asked whether commissioners wished to participate in interviews and invited them to notify staff of their interest.
Commissioners expressed support for moving forward with the recruitment. Chair Maynard closed the item by encouraging outreach and noting the commission’s workplace strengths.
The meeting then moved into substantive agenda items on racing and sports wagering.
