The Early Learning Center boiler work was described as being scoped with a co‑op vendor and expected to finish in late fall or early winter.
Referendum projects nearing closeout were discussed: one site was awaiting a final issue resolution and contractor coordination, and another project was awaiting final payment requisitions and credit change orders that may return funds to the district for smaller projects.
Staff reported several in‑house repairs and maintenance efforts, including floor abatement and replacement, replacement runs of wiring for football‑field lighting, replenishment of playground equipment, and motor replacement for a climate control system. A district representative said warranty and operation & maintenance manuals are being compiled and delivered to close out projects.
On environmental compliance matters, staff said additional well monitoring and testing is underway at 123 Walnut St per a remediation specialist’s recommendation; the county superintendent approved an alternate method of compliance for one year. Staff also noted a roofing grant project installed a permanent ladder to simplify roof access for maintenance, and that the contractor for that project expects imminent closeout.
Board members asked about a broken specialty window; staff said a vendor will replace it and that a second shattered window is covered with film pending replacement.
The facilities team said it will continue coordinating warranty deliverables and final payments with contractors as projects move toward formal closeout.
