Village officials reported at the Dec. 8 meeting that they are continuing to work with MEDC-CDBG-DR on a grant application seeking the remaining $2.5 million needed for the Saginaw Road Bridge project.
Officials said the Local Bridge Advisory Board (LBAB) is scheduled to meet on Dec. 18, 2025 to make a final determination regarding a potential $9.5 million award to the Village. The minutes note the Village previously received a $1 million LBAB award in 2023 to fund initial work planned to begin in 2026.
No formal vote was recorded on the bridge at the Dec. 8 meeting; the board framed the update as continuing grant work and engineering procurement. The board indicated it will follow LBAB and MEDC-CDBG-DR timelines and next steps for design engineering bidding and award.
