Fournier re-elected chair as Mattawan planning commission approves 2026 meeting schedule

The Village of Mattawan Planning Commission re-elected Clint Fournier as chair and elected Commissioner Daniel as chair pro tem during its Nov. 19 meeting.
Chair Fournier called for nominations for chair; Commissioner Daniel nominated Fournier, who accepted. A voice vote affirmed Fournier to remain chair. For Chair Pro Tem, Commissioner Lamb nominated Daniel; Daniel accepted, and the commission elected him by voice vote. In each case the minutes record that all attending members voted in favor.
Earlier in the meeting, Commissioner Lamb moved and Chair Fournier seconded a motion to excuse Liaison Streeter, which passed unanimously. Clerk Jolie Storm-Artis provided a brief council liaison report in Streeter’s absence. The commission also approved the minutes of Aug. 20, 2025, and approved the agenda as presented.
The commission corrected a typographical error in the presented meeting schedule to reflect the year 2026 and, on a motion by Fournier seconded by Daniel, approved the regular 2026 meeting schedule. The meeting adjourned at 7:13 p.m.
All recorded votes at this meeting were unanimous among the four attending commissioners; no roll-call tallies beyond “all members voted in favor” were recorded in the minutes.
