On June 15 the Harvey Development Authority moved to assign responsibility for the authority’s email accounts, Zoom recordings and Google Drive management to board member Mark Hammond on a temporary basis.
The action followed the recent resignation of Adrian Puin as clerk and IT lead. Charlie Richardson, who was selected as clerk at the previous meeting, and other members discussed whether Katherine Goldhammer would assume expanded responsibilities. Katherine said she was willing to continue posting minutes and website updates but did not want expanded IT responsibilities. Mark offered to step in and facilitate the transition.
A motion to add the described IT duties to Mark’s responsibilities was made, seconded by Joan Senator, and approved unanimously by roll-call vote. The motion directs Mark to manage email accounts, Zoom recordings and the Google Drive and to forward materials for posting to the appropriate outlets while the board evaluates longer-term staffing or contracting options.
Board members said the arrangement is temporary and can be revisited. "If H would like for me to continue in that role, I would be happy to do it," Mark said. Members noted the need to train a successor or to hire IT support if the workload requires it.
