The River Ridge Community Development District accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1, term expires Nov. 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter. The Board discussed next steps for filling the unexpired term and agreed outreach should be targeted to The Meadows neighborhood. Management will ask Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager to e-blast residents about the vacancy and candidate qualification requirements and request interested candidates submit a resume or letter of interest prior to the next meeting. Because the position will be filled by appointment rather than election, the Board said it will include candidate materials on the next agenda.
On motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Twombly, the Board accepted Mr. Gilman’s resignation "with all in favor." The Board also noted administrative items related to appointment: administration of the oath of office, required ethics training and disclosure filing (Form 1 and Form 8B guidance), and membership obligations under the Sunshine Amendment and Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees.
