River Ridge CDD adopts 2024–25 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted its fiscal year 2024–25 budget and approved an assessment roll at its Aug. 27 meeting.

District Manager Chuck Adams told the Board that the copy of the FY2025 budget in the meeting packet contained errors; Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal had submitted scrivener corrections, including a revised description for "Street sweeping." Mrs. Adams opened the public hearing on the budget and, with no public speakers, closed the hearing. On motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-07 relating to annual appropriations and adopted the budget as amended.

Tony Pires, District Counsel, recommended opening a public hearing on the determination of benefit and the imposition of special assessments under Resolution 2024-08. No affected property owners spoke. The Board directed an amendment to delete all references to "Exhibit B" on page 2 and throughout the document, and then, on motion by Mr. Blumenthal seconded by Mr. Twombly, adopted Resolution 2024-08 as amended.

Both measures passed "with all in favor," and were recorded as adopted. The adopted budget covers the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024 and ending Sept. 30, 2025, and Resolution 2024-08 certifies the assessment roll and provides enforcement and collection authority as stated in the resolution.

The Board did not receive comments from affected property owners during either hearing. Mr. Adams said staff will incorporate the approved amendments and make any required scrivener changes before final posting and implementation.

The next regular River Ridge CDD meeting is scheduled for Sept. 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
