Selectmen vote to forward $85,000 in impact fees to school district

After discussion about upcoming development and a proposed cushion, a motion was made and seconded to forward $85,000 for 2026; the board approved the distribution by voice vote.
The board noted the allocation is consistent with prior practice of supporting school capital needs and left an unspent balance in the impact fee account for future projects or potential refunds if projects fail to proceed.
Board members said they will continue to monitor permit activity and the fund balance as development in town advances.
