Redevelopment authority approves change order for lighting work, OKs roundabout payment

The presenter said the project remains about $64,000 under budget even after the change order and recommended approval. The commission moved, seconded and approved the change order by voice vote.
Commissioners also reviewed payment #1 for the roundabout project; staff said most major work is complete though minor items remain. The payment amount was discussed in the meeting as $253,350; a motion to approve the payment was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff noted there are additional potential change orders pending while negotiations with utilities and contractors continue; the presenter said pending items may further reduce the project cost because allowances may be adjusted during negotiations.
