Rudd reported that survey work for the Maple Street project is finished and that the village has televised pipes in the alley to assess conditions; design work is underway to evaluate preliminary alternatives that will align with Elm Street improvements. He said the village is coordinating with the bridge contractor to obtain pricing to perform a planned water main replacement near Hickory Street and US‑12 as part of the current bridge project, which may yield cost savings.
Rudd also reported ongoing coordination with the electric utility to evaluate potential extension options for Linden Street; those plans are still conceptual and survey work is in progress. No council vote was required for the project updates; staff will return with design options and cost estimates as projects advance.
