Three Oaks council approves rubbish contract, recurring events, street closure and reappointments

At its April 8 meeting the Three Oaks Village Council approved several routine but formal actions. The council voted to accept an agreement with Lakeshore Rubbish and Recycling (motion by Jones, second by Thomas). The roll-call for that motion and for subsequent approvals listed Niemzyk, Thomas, Hinman, Jones, Springer and President Graziano as ayes; Kramer was absent.
Council also approved a request for recurring "Cars and Coffee" parking-lot events on second Saturdays April through October beginning April 11, 2026 (moved by Hinman, supported by Thomas) and approved a street closure requested by the School of American Music for June 21, 2026 (moved by Thomas, supported by Jones).
On DDA business the council accepted the resignation of Jim Dygas and reappointed Johanna Welter to the DDA (reappointment moved by Hinman, supported by Jones). All recorded votes on these items showed unanimous approval among members present. No motions were tabled or failed at the meeting.
