Three Oaks PSC notes new lagoon generator, authorizes sale of oldest unit and reviews Swan Song lift station

The Village of Three Oaks Public Service Committee on March 6 acknowledged installation of a new lagoon generator and authorized staff to solicit bids to sell the oldest generator while retaining a newer spare.
Matt Lindsey, Sewer Operator, reported that the new lagoon generator was installed the previous week and transformer upgrades are complete. Lindsey said a cellular monitoring application is available for roughly $70 per year to enable remote generator‑status monitoring.
Village Manager Dan Faulkner asked permission to advertise the oldest lagoon generator for sale; Motion by Lockhart, second by Trucks, authorized staff to solicit bids. The committee recorded the motion as carried. The sale is to be handled through a future bid process and staff will return with results.
Faulkner also briefed the committee on the Swan Song lift station, originally constructed under a private condominium development and assumed by the Village after the developer went out of business. Faulkner said the station experienced years of limited maintenance before Village oversight; only one pump is currently operational and the station lacks an alarm system. Staff will continue evaluating required repairs and upgrades; no action was taken at the meeting.
