Fraser Board approves personnel actions, tenure and $4.55 million in bills in unanimous votes

The Fraser Board of Education unanimously approved several personnel actions and authorized payment of $4,551,072.40 in bills at its regular meeting on Feb. 10, 2025.
Personnel motions approved included the hire of Rachel Mueller as an LRE aide at Edison Elementary, effective Jan. 8, 2025; acceptance of the resignation of bus driver Anthony Warren, effective Jan. 30, 2025 (employed since Dec. 3, 2015); authorization for the superintendent to execute a second‑year probationary contract for Adrienne Grabinski; and authorization to execute a tenure contract for James Kokenyesdi. Each motion was recorded as carried with ayes all and nays none.
The board approved payment of bills across funds as moved by Abigail Wasil and seconded by Rebecca Jensen: General Fund $3,953,948.11; Food Service Fund $225,758.23; Student/School Activities $5,561.16; Capital Projects Fund $365,804.90; total $4,551,072.40. The minutes record unanimous votes on the financial motion.
Operations & Maintenance Director Jim Birko also reported on recent cold-weather water-main and pipe breaks and noted pull-ahead work at RMS in preparation for anticipated summer bond projects. The FCAT committee reported on community health and education events and requested a board representative. The meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
