Fraser students present PBIS news crew and Student Council updates; two students honored

Fraser students and student leaders featured prominently at the board’s Jan. 13 meeting. Principal Anthony Birkmeier and 6th‑grade teacher Jackie Armstrong presented a student news crew that records and edits daily announcements and highlights positive behavior across assemblies, lunch and recess to reinforce PBIS initiatives.
Fraser High School Student Council Executive Board President Angelina Apel provided a recap of a regional conference she attended and described plans for a Little Leaders program and Charity Week events that will benefit the Fraser VFW chapter. The board also recognized Audrey Steepe as Social Studies Student of the Year and Shianne Duzan as Industrial Technology Student of the Year.
The presentations highlighted student leadership and district efforts to use student media and council activities to promote positive behavior and community engagement.
