The Village of Michiana council approved new rental rates for the pavilion and Village Hall and increased the event deposit.
Council President Tim McCarthy moved to set pavilion rental for residents at $100, Village Hall rental for residents at $300 and for nonresidents at $400, and to raise the deposit to $500 (returned after the event if no damage). Nancy Thill seconded the motion and the measure passed. Council said it may revisit fees once the Village Hall renovation is complete.
The council discussed that deposit returns are conditional on no damage and that fees would be reviewed after remodeling. The change takes effect immediately for new reservations; the clerk will update rental policies and booking information.
