Fraser Board approves new bus driver hire, revised policies and three national student trips

The Fraser Board of Education approved routine business items at its Feb. 24 regular meeting at Richards Middle School, including a personnel hire, revised policies and multiple student trips.
The board approved the hire of Stephanie Jones as a bus driver based at the district bus garage, effective Feb. 12, 2025. The hiring motion was made by Robyn Norbeck and supported by Kathleen Moco; the motion carried with all members voting aye.
On policy, the board took second consideration and approved a package of revised district policies. Todd Koch moved to adopt the revised policies with support from Robyn Norbeck; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved three Fraser High School student trips: the DECA team to the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida, April 25–30, 2025; the HOSA team to the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, June 18–20, 2025; and the SkillsUSA team to the National SkillsUSA Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 23–27, 2025. Each trip approval was moved and passed by unanimous vote.
Finally, the board voted to accept and file the district Financial Report (motion by Todd Koch, supported by Rebecca Jensen); that motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
