The Rawlins County Board of Commissioners on June 15 approved and signed a contractor agreement with American Road Maintenance for an airport project after a briefing from Olsson Airport consultant Chris Corr, who joined the meeting via GoToMeeting.
Corr said the dollar amount shown in the county airport contract represents funding for one grant and that additional grant funds are expected; he said the Federal Aviation Administration is working on finalizing grant documents. Following the update, Commissioner Lincoln Pochop moved to approve and sign the contractor agreement with American Road Maintenance; Commissioner Alan A. Solko seconded the motion, which the record notes as carried.
County Attorney Christopher A. Rohr had earlier agreed to review the airport contract; Corr and the commissioners indicated further documentation and grant paperwork remain pending with the FAA. The transcript does not include a contract dollar total or a detailed project scope beyond what Corr described.
