The Bartlett City Board of Education’s March 27 meeting packet recognized several student extracurricular achievements.
The packet noted that the Bartlett High School Marching Band had a record-breaking 2024 season, including Grand Champion placements at the Arlington Open Invitational and the Collierville Tournament of Champions, a Gold Medal at the Bands of America Memphis Regional (the second year in a row), and advancement to the BOA Grand National semifinals in Indianapolis. The Wind Symphony was selected to perform at the Tennessee Music Education Conference and the Concert Band received an American School Band Directors Association Award of Distinction.
Athletics highlights in the packet included the boys' varsity bowling team’s season accomplishments (district champions, sectional champions and a state tournament Elite Eight appearance). The packet lists that 11th grader Elijah Pipkin rolled a 223 in the individual state championship match to win Bartlett’s first solo boys state title.
These presentations were acknowledgments in the packet; no formal board actions were recorded related to the recognitions during the meeting.
