Hebron council schedules June 26 public hearing on two rezones and MI Homes proposal

The Village of Hebron Council voted to schedule a public hearing for June 26 to consider Planning & Zoning recommendations to rezone properties at 820 West Main Street and 104 N. 9th Street and an item involving MI Homes.
At the May 22 meeting, Economic & Community Development Director Brittany Misner told council the Planning & Zoning Board had made two rezone recommendations that require a public hearing under the Hebron zoning code. The council voted to schedule that hearing for June 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
"The Planning & Zoning Board is making two rezone recommendations to Council, and per the Hebron zoning code, a Public Hearing will need to be scheduled to review and discuss those recommendations," Misner said.
Councilmember Andrea Chapman moved to schedule the public hearing for 820 West Main Street and 104 N. 9th Street and for MI Homes on June 26 at 5:00 p.m.; Mrs. Stacy Stoner seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with all councilmembers present voting in favor.
The public hearing will provide the formal forum for review and public comment on the recommended rezones and the MI Homes item; no final rezoning or annexation decision was made at the May 22 meeting.
