Jackson Parish Library Board approves quarterly reports and schedules July meeting

Board President Carol Massey called the Jackson Parish Library Board of Control to order at 4:30 p.m. April 20 at the Jonesboro branch.
The board approved routine business items unanimously. Lisa Nunn, a board member, moved to adopt the minutes from the Jan. 20 meeting; Judy Cooper seconded and the motion passed with all eligible members voting yes. Ann Standley moved to accept the first-quarter financial reports, seconded by Cooper; that motion also carried unanimously. Nunn then moved to accept the January, February and March statistical reports; Paula Essmeier seconded and the board voted to approve them.
The board recorded members present as Paula Essmeier, Judy Cooper, Lisa Nunn, Ann Standley, Robin Tew and Carol Massey; Vickie Jenkins and Lewis Chatham were noted as absent. The minutes list Floyd Knox and Judy Robertson as also present. Kelly LaRocca, identified as Associate State Librarian, was noted as attending to provide trustee training immediately following the meeting.
The board set its next scheduled meeting for Monday, July 20, 2026. Members then approved a motion to adjourn the business meeting and proceed into the planned trustee training session.
