Luna Pier Council approves bills, audit, budget amendments and multiple personnel actions

At its Dec. 11, 2025 meeting, the Luna Pier City Council approved several financial and personnel items on the consent agenda and by separate motions.
Council approved paid Bills #14247 (paid) for $83,335.63, Bills Warrant #14248 (unpaid) for $11,882.88, and a Visa charge of $1,220.90. Joy Perry moved and Duy Hoang supported the motion to approve the bills; the motion carried on a roll-call vote with all members present voting in favor.
The council approved the Luna Pier Volunteer Fire Department 2026 officer recommendations (motion by Joy Perry, supported by Amanda Neiding), accepted the 2024–2025 audit after an overview presented by Sarah Rafko (motion by Joy Perry, supported by Shawn Boslooper), and approved budget amendments as presented (motion by Joy Perry, supported by Amanda Neiding). The council also approved a sewer usage refund to J. Dunn in the amount of $311.42 (Perry/Hoang) and reappointed Rebecca Poca to the Parks & Rec Committee for a four-year term ending Jan. 15, 2030 (Perry/Neiding). All motions carried on roll-call votes, "all in favor."
The meeting minutes also record that Pam Sanner has been hired as the new city treasurer and will begin on Dec. 18, 2025, with Dee Parran providing training. Council thanked volunteers and committee members for recent work, including Chris Burchett and the DDA’s assistance on local projects.
