The Hinsdale Lake Management Committee elected Cynthia Grippaldi chair and handled routine business at its May 5 meeting, and members agreed to schedule outreach with camps and lake associations and to revisit a possible committee Facebook page.
Because committee member Monica Montferret was attending remotely, Duane Bruce moved to nominate Cynthia Grippaldi as chair; Andy Hagadorn seconded and the motion passed unanimously at 4:04 p.m. Cynthia Grippaldi then moved to accept the minutes of the April meeting; Andy Hagadorn seconded and the minutes were approved unanimously.
Committee member Monica Montferret asked Duane Bruce to check the Lake Management Committee section of the Town of Hinsdale website to confirm whether agendas and minutes were correctly carried forward after a website redesign. The committee also set a timeline to reach out to camps and lake associations: invitations will go out asking invitees to propose dates and agenda items for a meeting during the week of June 15–18. Montferret said she is working to arrange a meeting between Camp Taconic leadership and Ashmere residents after receiving a response to her letter of concern.
On member communications, Montferret raised the possibility of creating a Lake Management Committee Facebook page; members expressed liability concerns and agreed to defer the decision to a future meeting. With no other business, Duane Bruce moved to adjourn at 5:00 p.m.; Andy Hagadorn seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting minutes were signed by Duane Bruce, Secretary.
