Luna Pier council approves poverty-exemption rules, reappoints FEP member

The council voted to approve Warrant #14251 (paid) in the amount of $35,743.25, Bill’s Warrant #14252 (unpaid) for $2,894.37 and Visa charges of $3,038.35 as part of the consent agenda. Councilmember Joy Perry made the motion to approve the consent items; Councilmember Duy Hoang seconded it. The motion carried on a roll-call vote, with council members voting unanimously in favor.
Perry moved, supported by Shawn Boslooper, to reappoint Ray Frost to the Flood & Erosion Protection (FEP) Committee for a three-year term ending Jan. 15, 2029. The motion carried unanimously. Later in the meeting Perry moved, with a second from Neil Wakeman, to approve Resolution No. 980 — the Poverty Exemption Guidelines for 2026 — which the council adopted on a roll-call vote, all in favor.
