The Zachary Mayor and Council recessed into executive session at 8:36 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2024, under LSA‑R.S. 42:17(A)(2) to discuss a specific civil litigation matter styled CoZ adv RDF, LLC & The Gray Casualty Company (Capitol Construction, LLC) et al., 19th JDC #742.254 §21.
The council reconvened at 8:47 p.m. and, by unanimous vote, approved a motion enabling Mayor David McDavid to mediate and settle the litigation.
