During its Sept. 16, 2024 session the Town of Washington council approved its August 2024 meeting minutes and accepted the August 2024 financial statements, including a budget-to-actual comparison.
Mary Lavergne moved to approve the minutes; Tanya Doucet moved to accept the financials. Both motions carried with all members present voting in favor and Beau Wilson noted as absent. Council members recited the prayer and pledge at the start of the meeting and confirmed a quorum prior to conducting business.
Council discussed the timing and duties associated with naming a Mayor Pro‑temp but did not record a formal appointment in the minutes. The meeting concluded after Mary Lavergne moved to adjourn and the motion carried. The minutes are signed by Mayor William Dwight Landreneau and Municipal Clerk Halli Polotzola.
