Board approves ParentSquare communications platform and converts Botany, Zoology to yearlong RHS courses

The Romeo Community Schools Board voted Dec. 15 to adopt ParentSquare as the district’s mobile and website communication platform and approved course changes at Romeo High School that convert Botany and Zoology from semester to full‑year courses.
Mr. Murray presented the ParentSquare proposal after the district studied three vendors and described anticipated benefits. Board member Mrs. Bowman said she was "excited for the improved communication," and Mr. Murray said staff will receive training. Dr. Robinson said the district hopes to implement ParentSquare at the start of the next school year.
On curriculum, the board approved Academic Services Resolution #105 to make Botany and Zoology full‑year courses at RHS; the committee had recommended the change following a curriculum review. The policy committee also completed a first reading of Policy 2006 (Personal Electronic Devices) but no final action on that policy was recorded at this meeting.
