Wellfleet reappoints police officers to one-year terms starting July 1

The Wellfleet Select Board unanimously reappointed a slate of full- and reserve police officers for one-year terms beginning July 1, 2026, and running through June 30, 2027.
Chief Lorocco presented the appointments and explained that the list included full-time officers Christopher Green, Tyler Legary, Jack Posca, Rachel Bunts, Riley Canali, Henry Lumbard, Daniel Ross, Mitchell Lamb and Richard Mahoney and reserve part-time officers Mark Spiegel, Ronald Facet and Jacob Bareric. He said some reserve officers are “bridged” from full-time status and noted academy or prior chief experience for specific officers.
A Select Board member moved to reappoint the named officers as listed in the board packet; a second was recorded and the board took a roll-call vote. The motion passed five to zero.
The board did not take additional action beyond the reappointments. The Select Board chair closed the item and moved on to the next agenda topic.
