Roseville Community Schools board approves 2025 audit, retains Plante Moran for 2026

The Roseville Community Schools Board of Education approved the district audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, and voted to retain audit firm Plante Moran for the 2026 audit at a special meeting Oct. 27 at the Roseville Administration Building.
Chris Geck of Plante Moran presented the audit report to the board. After the presentation, Joseph DeFelice, secretary of the board, moved to approve the audit report; the motion was supported by Michelle Williams-Ward and passed on a roll-call vote listing ayes from Theresa Genest, Kevin Switanowski, Joseph DeFelice, Matthew McCartney, Gina Aiuto, Denise Brun and Michelle Williams-Ward. The motion carried unanimously (7-0).
Following the audit approval, DeFelice moved, supported by Denise Brun, to retain Plante Moran to perform the district’s 2026 audit; that motion also carried unanimously (7-0).
David Rice, assistant superintendent for instruction and curriculum, commented during the meeting that this is the first year of ESSER funding implementation for the district, and said Roseville’s planning compared favorably with other districts. President Theresa Genest and other board members offered brief thanks to the business office and staff for their work on the audit and related financial reporting.
The board announced upcoming regular meetings for Nov. 3, Nov. 17, Dec. 1 (holiday card winner), and Dec. 15, 2025, all at the administration building at 7 p.m. The special meeting adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
