Roseville board approves personnel hires, coaching slate, fundraiser bylaws and $43,997 vehicle purchase

The Roseville Community Schools Board of Education on Nov. 3 unanimously approved a set of routine but immediate operational items, including multiple personnel hires, a winter coaching roster, fundraiser bylaws for a middle school club and the purchase of a district vehicle.
Board President Theresa Genest presided over the meeting at the district administration building. On a motion by Trustee Denise Brun, supported by Trustee Gina Aiuto, the board approved the personnel recommendations that listed new hires including Ashawnte Doyle (Special Education Aide, Steenland Elementary), Arif Istiaque (Interventionist, Roseville Middle), Talia Krause (Special Education Aide, Steenland Elementary) and Connie Stieber (School Psychologist, Fountain/Kment/Roseville Middle), and recorded a termination of Kaleb Schultz (Special Education Aide, Kment Elementary). The motion to approve the personnel slate carried 5-0.
The board also approved the winter coaching recommendations as presented. The roster includes: Rashard Porter, boys’ varsity basketball (11/21/25–03/18/26); Durrell Carter, boys’ JV basketball (11/21/25–03/18/26); Deon Dismuke, boys’ freshmen basketball (11/21/25–03/18/26); Aja Williams, girls’ varsity basketball (11/21/25–03/18/26); Markela Snipes, JV girls’ basketball (11/21/25–03/18/26); Mike Wilson, varsity wrestling (11/21/25–03/18/26); Joe Baker, JV wrestling (11/21/25–03/18/26); Josh Rolder, bowling (11/21/25–03/18/26); Tylene Blue, varsity cheer (11/21/25–03/18/26); Daija Brown, JV cheer (11/21/25–03/18/26); Jeff Verkeyn, 8th grade boys’ basketball (11/21/25–01/28/26) and 7th grade girls’ basketball (01/31/26–03/24/26); Mike Cracchiolo, 7th grade boys’ basketball (11/21/25–01/28/26); Stassi Earl, 8th grade girls’ basketball (01/31/26–03/24/26); Adrienne Miller, dance (11/21/25–03/18/26); and Reggie Ryder, middle school wrestling (02/01/26–03/20/26).
Trustee Gina Aiuto moved, supported by Trustee Michelle Williams-Ward, to adopt fundraiser bylaws for the D & D Club at Roseville Middle; that motion also carried 5-0.
On procurement, the board approved a motion by Trustee Joseph D. DeFelice, supported by Trustee Michelle Williams-Ward, to purchase a 2026 Dodge Ram 2500 Tradesman from Lafontaine CDJR using general funds for $43,997 as listed on the state bid site. The roll call vote was unanimous (Genest, DeFelice, Aiuto, Brun, Williams-Ward — 5-0).
The board additionally voted to re-list the Building Trades house on a motion by DeFelice supported by Williams-Ward; the motion passed 5-0. The minutes do not record listing price or next steps.
Public comment during the meeting included a brief remark from Justine Brun, who thanked the board for supporting Model UN at Roseville High School and offered comments on the Ignite Program from a school-of-choice family perspective. The minutes do not indicate follow-up action.
The board listed upcoming regular meetings on Nov. 17, Dec. 1, Dec. 15 and Jan. 5 and adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
