At its May 19 meeting the Village Board adopted two ordinances on second reading and held first readings on two additional items.
On second reading the board approved Ordinance 2025-03, adopting municipal code 15.01(4)(c) 'Use of Intoxicants,' and Ordinance 2025-04, adopting municipal code 16.09(1)(g) and (h) 'Parking Regulations.' Trustee Chuck Hornung moved to adopt Ordinance 2025-03, seconded by Trustee John Duffy; the roll-call vote was unanimous. Trustee Gary Schaub moved to adopt Ordinance 2025-04, seconded by Trustee Mike Will; that roll-call vote was also unanimous.
The board also conducted first readings of Ordinance 2025-05, an annexation of territory at N7405 Pioneer Road into the Village, and Ordinance 2025-06, to adopt municipal code 12.25 'Private Lead Service Line Replacement Financing.' The minutes record these as first readings only; no adoption votes were recorded for those items at this meeting.
Residents and other stakeholders should note that first-reading items typically return for further consideration before final adoption; the minutes do not include public-comment detail or staff presentations specific to the annexation or lead-service financing item.
