North Fond du Lac board awards $290,727.99 road contract, approves licenses and UTV grant application

The Village of North Fond du Lac Board of Trustees voted unanimously on June 16 to award the 2025 Roadway Rehabilitation Project contract to Northeast Asphalt, Inc. and to approve a slate of operator, liquor and other business licenses for the 2025–2026 licensing period.
The vote followed a staff report from Mitch Vis, the Village’s Director of Public Works, who said two bids were received and that “Northeast Asphalt had the low bid in the amount of $290,727.99.” Trustee Gary Schaub moved to award the contract and Trustee Chuck Hornung seconded; the board recorded five ayes and the motion carried.
In the consent portion of the meeting the board approved routine items including the minutes of the June 2 meeting, authorization of invoices, and multiple operator license applications. Trustee Mike Will moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee John Duffy seconded; the motion carried 5-0.
Chief Jake Flaherty told the board the North Fond du Lac Fire Department Association plans to apply for a grant to pay most of the purchase of a Utility Task Vehicle, with the association funding the remainder and donating the vehicle to the Village fire department. Trustee Chuck Hornung moved to approve moving forward with the grant application; Trustee John Duffy seconded and the board voted 5-0 in favor.
The board also reviewed and approved a roster of license applications for the 2025–2026 license period, including Class B fermented malt beverage and intoxicating liquor licenses and dance hall, tobacco and manufactured-home-park licenses; the motion approving the licenses was made by Trustee Chuck Hornung and seconded by Trustee Mike Will and carried 5-0.
The board adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
