The committee discussed volunteer recruitment and outreach for the park, acknowledging the difficulty of recruiting volunteers for a project not yet built. Melanie Thibeault suggested collecting names at public events and using automated email tools such as Constant Contact or MailChimp to support a supporters' newsletter; Renee McCormick agreed to investigate recruiting student volunteers from Berkshire Community College or Monument Mountain.
Chair Michael Bolognino said he will seek reimbursement for personal expenditures incurred to promote the project and reviewed those expenses with the committee. He also reported an unidentified $500 expense was paid from the Dog Park's CPA funds and that he is waiting for clarification from the town accountant on what that payment covered.
Ms. Thibeault said the Friends are finalizing a new logo and expect to circulate a revised version within seven to ten days. The committee scheduled its next meeting for May 24, 2025, at 10 a.m.
