Minocqua approves pay increase for town chairman and clerk to take effect after 2027 election

Koski and Harrold said a larger adjustment (Koski referenced 12.5%) better matched recent cost increases.
Supervisor Bill Fried opposed the change, saying it was "too much for one budget year." The approved salary level in the motion is a flat annual amount of $67,500 and the motion specified the raise would not take effect until after the April 2027 elections.
The raise was carried as a formal motion of the assembly; the meeting record shows the tally but does not list a roll-call of individual yes votes beyond the single recorded no.
The meeting then set the next annual meeting for April 23, 2027, and adjourned at 5:26 p.m.
