Bellevue council adopts 2026 budget, approves intra-fund transfers to avoid shortfalls

Coy seconded. The roll-call vote recorded H. Coy, S. Roberts, B. Balkema, R. Spaulding, J. Willis, L. Pfiester and E. Bird as voting aye; the motion carried.
H. Coy then moved to accept the 2026 Village of Bellevue Annual Budget “as written,” seconded by E. Bird. The same seven council members recorded aye votes and the motion carried.
The council’s action formally adopts the village’s spending plan for 2026 and uses an intra-fund transfer to ensure specific accounts do not show negative balances before year-end. The minutes do not state revised line-item totals or the aggregate dollar amount shifted in the amendment.
Other routine business during the meeting included approval of minutes and vendor payments. The council adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
